i bought this to replace the hard suitcase for my 2PAK drill and sawzall, and also to consolidate my dewalt flourescent flashlight, and the dewalt 18v sds hammer drill(best tool ever, love it everytime i use, this is by far the best battery tool ever, probably doesnt matter what make or model but a sds battery hammerdrill is awesome).this bag given its large size does fill pretty quick, then again i carry alot of stuff. given i have four battery tools, two hole saw kits in cases, a standard drill bit kit in case, loads of loose drill bits and saw blades, the charger and all four batteries, i would say its pretty spacious.straps and handles are very strong, the bottom has two hard plastic runners to give it rigidity and lets it slide easy enough. lenth wise it will fit the sawzall but not with a blade in. as far as the height is good but my long screwdrivers dont make it, i have to put them in bigger pockets diagonally.i would definitely recommend this to anyone, depending on your needs it take it all and then some. would like to see a full plastic bottom that cups up at the sides similar to the big stanley fat max bags but cant have everything.overall excellent, oh did mention the flat square 3/4 zippered lid far surpasses any wide mouth style bag or any bag for that matter even some tool boxes - when open gives complete access to everything. although the top lid is soft - there is a full pocket on the underneath of it that could be lined with something ridgid just to keep the contents from getting smushed when loading into a work truck.
This tool bag was for my son who is an electrician. He had the same bag before, but due to wear and tear it was not in very good condition. It only lasted 10 years. When I saw this bag on your website he asked me to order it for him and he is very satisfied.
The height of the bag won't accommodate a normal sized screwdriver or channel-locks to be stored vertically in the pockets with the lid closed. This tool bag is not big enough. The interior and outside pockets are too blousey. I wanted to get 2 or 3 of them and store my 18 volt set in them. This bag is not big enough to put one Dewalt cordless finish nailer in it. They should build a larger, foot locker type version with the same hard-sided/bag idea, but actually make it usable. I returned this.
This tool bag DEWALT D6050 17-Inch Ballistic Nylon Tool Bagis a perfect replacement for the factory supplied plastic storage container that is supplied with the 36-volt DeWalt combo-kit, which has the charger, light, hammerdrill, circular and, reciprocating saws. The factory supplied storage box was found to be low quality when compared to the cost of this combo set. Also, trying to put all tools back into the storage container and be able to close it is next to impossible. All tools fit nicely in this tool bag, and, are very easily put back in and completely closed when finished these tools.
Great bag, exactly what I was looking for. I liked it enough to purchase two.
